Every refinance has costs, and the arithmetic only works if you’ll hold the loan long enough for the savings to repay them. When we talk, I’ll lay out the break-even plainly — the costs, the monthly difference, and how many months until the math turns in your favor. If the answer is “this doesn’t serve you,” that’s the answer you’ll get. I tire of clever reasons for doing things that only serve the person recommending them.
